Okay... this is a definite DefCon5 !!!

Ya know...

As a child, i *loved* skittles...
I mean... who doesnt? They´re AWESOME!

Now... somehow, with time i have forgotten about them... (or at least: it SEEMS that way...)
Well.. being on deviantART on a Daily basis, i had people write about eating em in their mood-box, and i even saw some nice skittles-stamps around... And so i remembered em.

So, yesterday, i was like: "Gees, skittles are awesome... Man, you didnt have any dor *ages*... lets go and get some!", and since i had to do some grocery shopping anyways, i decided to pick em up, as i go...

Now... i was quite disappointed when i returned, since i didnt get any...
I have been to three different supermarkets / grocery stores, and i couldnt get *any* Skittles O_o

No Skittles....

awe.

So, i did some research on the web, to see, which store might have ´em....

and again :

No Skittles...

But... just so that you, dear reader, get this right:
I dont mean No Skittles *today*...

I mean...

No Skittles...

... in *GERMANY* !!!!

THEY´RE GONE!!!!
SINCE YEARS!!!

I ate and loved em as a child, but they are not sold anymore, since AGES!!!!
Some Years ago, some, few, vending machines at trainstations still had them, but only very, VERY rarely, but they are gone from there, too... For quite some time...

I mean, this is strange, since Skittles are made / sold by the same company that makes and sells Mars and other sweets and candys, which you can get at every corner here....just not Skittles!!!!

Heh, gals ´n guys, guess what???
As i found out, Skittles are SO RARE and SOUGHT after, here in germany, that the austrians (which still have em... in said vending machines) sell em to germans on eBay !!!!

Heh, i found an austrian eBay page, of a finished auction, and a few 50g (!) were sold to germany for 10 Euro.. which is about 15 (read: FIFTEEN!!!) US-Dollars !!!! And we didnt talk about shipping yet !!!!

I mean...

What IS this...???

No Skittles in Germany ???

We´re... we´re... like *ANIMALS*.... or... *BARBARIANS* ..... !!!

First of all: Thanks to all the people that send in messages, notes and comments concerning the skittles-for-germany issue, and a special thanks to all the people that offered to, actually, SEND me skitlles, haha... thankies a lot...

Okay, on to the NEWS:

Yesterday, i used the contact-formular on the offical Skittles-Homepage [link] to contact the company that sells them and asked, if skittles are really COMPLETELY unavailable throughout germany, or if they are just hard to find. I hope, i will get a reply, soon. I will keep you informed.
But that is not the reason for this update.
The reason is this:

My dear and close friend recently (about 5 minutes ago) brought to my attention, that SKiTTLES have been taken OFF SALE in BRAZIL, too !!!

She did a short lookup on google for that matter and found several entries with questions, like: "What happened to the SKiTTLES???"

This is a strong indication for the fact, that BRAZiL lost the privilege to Taste The Rainbow for unknown reasons!
As i am not too familiar with the subject of SKiTTLES concerning Brazil, please ask HER for further Information on that.

Seems, SKiTTLES are about to become an ENDANGERED SPECIES...

Eh, is this a CONSPIRACY ???
