My other contest entrys:

MiND MATTERS: [link]

PWND: [link]

Wild Wild Chess: [link]

Behind Enemy Lines: [link]

I know, i know, i know!!!

I HAVE already uploaded almost the same image like this as a contest entry already here: [link]

This is really pretty much a sort of "last minute idea" i had for this contest while i was working on something else, hahaha!

So, yeah.. .taking the concept of "Wild Wild Chess" (which you can find here [link] ) about chess being sort of "black vs white = good vs Evil" and the idea of cowboys with "white / black hats" being good / evil and knights being horses in chessgames a little further, because... i mean, where do we SEE good and evil as their extremes and as pure "black and white" the most? Right. AT THE MOVIES!

So i figured, maybe a wild west movie with the Sheriff wearing the white hat and the gunslinger the black one might be running on the screen, at the theatre, while the chess-pawns might go and take a break, have some popcorn and enjoy the show =)

So, yeah.... VERY similar to my other entry, and i am usually not too much of a fan of uploading two images which are THAT similar to each other, haha... but Somehow i liked this idea quite a lot!

And on top of that: as per usual, my dearest friend :iconpartner-in-crime: encouraged me a lot to uplaod it anyways, so... here it is =)

Enjoy =)

For the techies:

Yeah, same specifications as the "original" render i did, only i overlaid a stillframe of real 8mm footage and added the pawns in front =)

^____^

Thank you for such a huge, wonderful compliment, Cheryl!!!

That really brightened my day!

You must know, my computerscreen broke two days ago (i am on a very very small 14" CRT right now), and so this comment came at the right moment, cheering me up a lot =)

I am really glad that you like it so much!

This was actually, the very first idea i had for the "good vs evil" contest...

Somehow, chessfigures being black and white, made me think about the western-clichee of good-guys wearing white hats and bad guys wearing black-hats...
So it felt kinda natural, to try to combine these things...

And who would be better suited to resemble this than the knight..?
After all, in most chess-sets they are resembled by horses, haha!

I wish i could have added tumbleweed, haha!

But yeah, in the end, it turned out much nicer than i thought...

And i remember, when i was a kid, my mom used to watch western-movies, and so they are sort of a part of me, too =)

 I am very happy to hear that I brightened up your day!

And I'm really sorry about your computer screen - I know that it can be such a hard thing to deal with, my computer had a virus for a while and I couldnt use it and it blows! I hope you can get a new one soon!

By the way I liked your piece so much I favourited it!

You're very creative and I really like the take on the good vs evil, its just really interesting. Tumbleweed would've been cool to have in it though haha.
